Christopher S. Erickson, age 62, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at his residence.
He was born in Erie, on May 2, 1958, a son of Lawrence P. Erickson and Audrey Paczynski Natcher. Christopher was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School. He worked as a signalman/signal maintainer for Norfolk Southern/CSX railroad and as a machinist at a company in Ohio. On his return to living in Pennsylvania, he volunteered and worked at the Erie City Mission shelter for several years. Christopher currently worked part-time at Giant Eagle.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Gerald Natcher, and a brother-in-law, Charles Edgett.
In addition to his parents he is survived by siblings Holly Carter Erickson, Susan Whiteman, Kimberly Edgett, Liesa Natcher-Yeargan and husband Bryan, Tressa Erickson and Lawrence Erickson Jr., and Wayne and John Natcher. Also his step-mother, Wanda Erickson and several nieces and nephews, and a special uncle Edward Erickson. Also his special friend of many years Hang Nguyen.
Christopher had a big and very kind and generous heart and had many friendships which had brought him to volunteering at the Erie City Mission and the shelter. He loved NASCAR and he and his dad and friends attended many many races through the years. Chris will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Due to covid 19, services and Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery were private and held at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
