Christine M. Fasenmyer

Christine M. (Norman) Fasenmyer, age 67, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Erie, PA, on March 3, 1957, to the late John and Betty Fischer Norman.

Christine was a 1975 graduate of Iroquois High School, and later earned a two year degree from Louisiana Technical Institute. She held various jobs around the US and in Germany while her husband was enlisted in the US Army. After returning to Erie, Christine was employed as an Administrative Assistant at St. Patrick’s Church for many years.

Christine cherished moments with her family, the thrill of purse bingo and casino trips, and the joy of crafting raffle baskets and scrapbooks for her grandkids. Her generous spirit always shone through, ready to help anyone in need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Norman.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph J. Fasenmyer; children, Ryan Fasenmyer (Emily), Jennifer Nelson (Mike) and Jason Fasenmyer (Kerri); four grandchildren; Michael Nelson, Mackenzie Nelson, Marlie/Lucas Decot, Sophia Fasenmyer; and one Sister, Jackie Baker (Rick).

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie on Saturday, September 14th from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 officiated by Rev. William Sutherland. Inurnment will be private in Whispering Pines Cremation Garden.

Donations honoring Christine can be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
