Christa E. Dunn, also known by many as, “Biss,” age 31, of St. Petersburg, FL, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus November 1, 2017, at the Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL after fighting a valiant battle with addiction.
She was born in Erie on January 8, 1986, daughter of Patrick and Kathleen Day-Dunn.
Christa graduated from McDowell High School, class of 2005, and graduated with awards and distinction from Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy. Christa created unique designs at the Famous Cuts Salon and Famous Hair, both in Erie.
Christa enjoyed sewing, reading, singing, making friends and making them laugh. Christa loved animals, especially her dog, Apollo.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Rose and George Day, and Jerry and Libby Dunn.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother Jonathan Dunn of Erie, her sister Rachel Perezic, (Hamit) of New York City, her niece Cora Perezic and nephew Cole Perezic, both of New York City, NY. She is also survived by her grandmother Roseanne Eckerson, and special aunt “Auntie” Laurie Druzak, many uncles, aunts and cousins, and thousands of friends who will deeply miss her. She touched many lives and brightened every room she entered. She was loved by many and left a mark on all of our lives with that warm, gregarious smile and magnetic personality. To know her was to love her; she loved everyone and everyone she met loved her. She is truly God's masterpiece.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenbeigh Drug Addiction Center, P.O. Box 298, Rock Creek, OH 44084. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street. No viewing arrangements; all are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1553 East Grandview Blvd., on Saturday, November 11th at 11am.
