Cheryl Day Albert age 73, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie on July 21, 1948, daughter of the late Robert Roy and Nancy May Burg Shutts.

She worked as a research Librarian for Continental Oil Company for several years at their facility in Library, PA. Once she returned to Erie, she concentrated on starting a family and helping others.
Cheryl loved being a mother and grandmother, and sought to constantly expose her children to new experiences, taking them to plays, museums, and other cultural events and vacations as if they were adults. She supported Luther Memorial Learning Center at Luther Memorial Church. Cheryl enjoyed being social and was always the first to introduce herself and make new friends. Cheryl loved to read and constantly sought out knowledge. One of her favorite things was shouting out the answers on Jeopardy before the contestants could ring the buzzer. Cheryl always tried to include everyone in her activities. Cheryl had a huge heart, was tremendously kind and had an unerring moral compass. Cheryl will be deeply missed by many.
