Charlotte Hilbert

Charlotte Joan Blackford Hilbert, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness. She was born on November 15, 1933 daughter of the late William M. and Mildred Violet Fuches Blackford. She was employed at the Boston Store for 17 years until they closed and then worked for 18 years at Kmart East retiring in 1998.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Hilbert, Sr. in 2008; her son, Edward J. Hilbert, Jr. in 2007; a brother, Robert Blackford and sisters, Jean Nicholson, Kay Hawkins and Sharon Oswalt.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara Grygier and her husband Robert and Joanne Belczyk; her grandchildren whom she adored and loved; Timothy Belczyk wife Elizabeth, Robert Grygier, III wife Rae Anne, Julie Shick husband Jason, Toby Hilbert wife Danielle, James Grygier and Brett Belczyk; great grandchildren who were the love of her life, Tyler Belczyk, Alyssa Grygier, Caleb Olsen, Samantha Grygier, Owen Shick, Robert Grygier III, Jacob Grygier, Aubrey Belczyk and Shane Belczyk; and her sister, Iona Runiewicz. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Services and burial were private. Arrangements were entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th Street.
