Charles Williams

Charles A. Williams age 90, of Fairview, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.

He was born in Northeast, PA on March 21, 1927, a son of the late Coy and Evelyn Miller Williams.

Charles was raised in Girard, PA and went on to serve his country in the Blue Devil Division of the United States Army during World War II.  After an honorable discharge, Charles worked for Eriez Magnetics, where he retired from in 1989, after 28 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Virginia Place and Shirley Jones, his brother, Coy Williams and his sister-in-law, Esther Williams, his special sisiter-in-law, Pauline Fickenworth as well as his grandson, Charles Williams III.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Breining Williams of Fairview, PA; daughters, Evelyn (Tim) Howland of Heber, AZ, and Bettie (Bill) Dubinski of McKean, PA, son, Charles (Patricia) Williams of Apex, NC, four grandsons 2 granddaughters, eight great-grandsons, 7 great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

Private services were entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W. 10^th St., Erie.
