Charles Seelinger age 90, formerly of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his residence in Sheffield, PA.
He was born in Erie on November 23, 1928 a son of the late Michael and Frieda Lindsley Seelinger.
Charles attended General McLane High School and went on to serve in the united States Navy during WWII.
He worked as a machinist at Zurn Industries for over 30 years.
Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8755 and the American Legion Post #773.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing but the thing he enjoyed the most was spending time with his family who he thought the world of.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hoch Seelinger and three siblings.
He is survived by four children, Michael French of Conneaut, OH Sandy S. Gallegos of Erie, Randy Seelinger of Sheffield, PA and Alan J. Seelinger and his wife Kathleen of Erie; 9 brothers and sisters; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00p.m. Burial to follow in Albion Cemetery with full Military Honors.
