Charles Pursell

Charles “Charlie” Pursell, Sr., age 88, passed away on Friday May 10, 2024, at his residence.

He was born in Girard, PA on September 22, 1935, the son of the late Roy and Gladys Keep Pursell.

Charlie served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1962.   He went on to work as a Mold Finisher at Reddog/PHB for 25 years until his retirement. He loved nature and the outdoors and would spend time taking long drives.  He enjoyed hunting and traveling. He was loved by all the knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Pursell, grandson, Adam Roberts, daughter in law, Trisha Pursell and his siblings, Roy Jr., Robert, Norman, Edna Mae, and Dolores.

He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Sims (Mathew), Robin Roberts (Greg) and Cris Peters (Paul); his sons, Charles Pursell Jr. (Julie), and Mark Pursell; grandchildren, Eric, Jacob, Andrew, Kelsey, Tyler, Megan, Aaron, Austin, Victoria, Julian, Emma, and Sarah; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard on Tuesday May 14, 2024, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm with Rev. Jim Grove and ending with full military honors.
