Charles D. “Charlie” Ohmer, age 51, of Erie, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in Erie on September 3, 1965, a son of the late Jack E. and Wilma J. Courtny Ohmer.
Charlie attended McDowell High School and worked as a mechanic at Denny’s Auto Salvage until 2008. He was a hard worker with a big heart who was always interested in helping his family. Charlie enjoyed NASCAR, model cars and loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his fiancé Mildred “Micki” Kuhn; five siblings: Robert “Butch” Ohmer and Jan Ohmer both of Petersburg, VA, Vicki Lynn Ohmer, Jack Edward Ohmer and James (Barbara) Ohmer, all of Erie. Charlie is also survived by Mildred’s four children, John E. Kuhn, Kimberly A. Rowe, James C. Kuhn and Karilyn M. Kuhn-Syed and Mildred’s 12 grandchildren.
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Wednesday December 7th from 11am until the time of service at 1 pm with Fr. Tom Tyler officiating. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
