Charles P. McMahon, age 92, died on Saturday, February 14, 2015. He was born in Cleveland, on November 30, 1922 a son of the late James and Sophie Maucher McMahon.
A graduate of Academy High School and the General Electric Apprentice program, Charles was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Charles was a toolmaker with General Electric Co. as well as Lord Manufacturing.
His interests were swimming, reading and nature.
In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Trigilio McMahon and his sister, Dorothea Way.
He is survived by his son, John McMahon and his wife Susan, of Oak Ridge, TN; his daughter, Sue Napierkowski and her fiancé Jeffrey Daigle, of Erie and his grandchildren, Matthew McMahon and Jennifer McMahon, both of Knoxville, TN; Andrew Napierkowski and his fiancé Kody McInerney, and Sara Napierkowski, all of Erie. Charles is further survived by several sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum on Saturday, at 11:30am with Reverend Richard McCarty officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
