Charles “Chuck” Carson, age 66, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Erie, December 17, 1957 to Alvina Carson- Dantzler and the late Walter L. Carson. Charles was a bus driver for Erie Metro Transit Authority and worked at General Electric.
He loved his children, and spending time with family, especially cooking and smoking meat for them. Charles was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Browns and NASCAR. He loved riding his motorcycle and listening to music.
He is survived by his children, Erin Curlett, Charles Carson Jr., Randy Carson (Jelena), and Mykel Jones- Carson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Jerome Carson, Lawrence Carson (Sandra), Linda Brooks (Edward), Wanda Carson, Charles Booth, Clarence Heidelberg, 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Chuck loved everyone and everyone loved him.
Contributions may be made to the care of the family or to Morningstar Baptist Church.
Friends are invited to call on the family Saturday, October 26, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church, 327 E 23rd St, Erie, PA 16503. Burial to follow in Erie Cemetery.
