Cevin Smith

Petty Officer Second Class, Cevin Smith, age 57, of Erie, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Erie, July 27, 1964 to James and Helen Stallworth Smith. Cevin was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School, and worked for the VA Medical Center, and as a Navy Recruiter in Pittsburgh, PA.

He loved to work on cars, and watch action movies, he loved to cook, enjoyed music, and was a die hard Steelers fan. Cevin loved the military, and was proud of his service in the United States Navy, serving in Grenada, Beirut, Desert Storm, and the Persian Gulf War.

Cevin leaves to cherish his memory to his long-time girlfriend, Sandra Doty, He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Smith, his five children, Sgt. Jeremy Smith, Kenny Blanks Jr., Caleb Smith, Kyle Davis, Courtney Smith, and Addaline Smith. Cevin is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is survived by his mother, Helen R. Smith, his brother, Jeff Smith, step brother Bryan Lyons, and 3 sisters, step sister Jamie Knight, Sonia Rossiter, and Hope Smith.

Cevin is preceded in death by his father, James Smith, his grandmother, Eloise Foster, aunts, Carolyn Moore, and Flora Page, and an uncle, Sylvester Page.

Services will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral service Inc. Downtown 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie.
