Cecelia Buntrock

     Cecelia Frieda Alviera Huber Buntrock (November 8, 1922 - November 19, 2016) departed this life to be with her Lord. 
     She was preceded in death by her husband Orville Buntrock, siblings Alida Nellesen, Werner Huber and Gertrude Wassilak. Surviving are children Jane Buntrock Moran, Steve, Kenneth and Timothy Buntrock, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and sister Adele Borchers.
     Born in Hillsboro, Missouri to Ernest and Frieda Huber, she graduated from Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing and married Rev. Orville Buntrock. They served as missionaries in China and the Philippines, returning to the US in 1951. She was a registered nurse for many years before retiring from Woodville State Hospital in Pittsburgh and moving to Lutheran Haven Retirement Community in Florida. She became a resident of Sarah Reed, Erie, Pa. this spring.  She was a faithful Christian and member of Luther Memorial Church, Erie. She was beloved by her family and many friends who mourn her loss and celebrate her life.
     The family will receive friends at Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle, Erie on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Her funeral is Friday, November 25, 2016, at 12:30 pm at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 55 Forsythe Rd, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15220. Memorials may be made in her name to Lutheran World Relief.
