Cass A. Johnson, Sr.

Cass A. Johnson, Sr., age 71, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at UPMC Hamot Hospital after an extended illness. 

He was born on May 29, 1953, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Daniel and Eddie Lee (Crosby) Johnson, Sr. 

After graduation from Sandusky High School, he worked for GE, retiring after 36 years. Cass was a hardworking man and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Harvey and Bertha Henley; brothers, Daniel Johnson, Jr., Jerry Johnson and Andrew Johnson, Sr. and his fur baby, Jake. 

He leaves behind to cherish him in memory, his high school sweetheart & loving wife of 46 years, Deborah (Belle) Johnson; sons, Cass (Lynsie) Johnson, Jr. and Rashad (Tanya) Johnson and siblings, Javain (Christine) Webb, Florean Johnson, Jerdean Johnson, Brenda (Timothy) Johnson and James New. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Friends may call at Greater Calvary Baptist Church on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m­­­. Burial to follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/BurtonQuinnScott/
