Carrie Devies

Carrie R. Devies age 52, of Centerville, PA passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born in Erie, PA on March 1, 1964 a daughter of William Hutchinson and Janice Cirino Shope. Carrie attended North Western High School and was a devoted mother. She loved being one with nature and enjoyed tending to her garden. She was very generous and gave many gifts to her family and friends. She also enjoyed writing poetry and listening to music. She was preceded in death by three siblings; Bill, Beth and Pat. In addition to her parents Carrie is survived by four children; Robin Devies, Jahmi Shope, Seth Hawkins and Aubrey Smith all of Erie. Five grandchildren also remain; Robin’s children; Veronica Snow, Wolfgang Gudino and Thomas Dworzanski as well as Jahmi’s children; Jaden McLaurin and Anthony Velez all of Erie. Many other relatives and dear friends also remain. Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, PA 16502 on Wednesday from 10:00 am till the time of services there at noon.
