Carolyn Barr

Carolyn Evans Barr, age 97, of Edgewater, FL and formerly of Erie died Friday, August 31 2018.  She was born June 13, 1921 in Marianna, PA the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Boyer) Evans.

A longtime resident of Erie, she attended the Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity before moving to Florida in 1999 to live near family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Barr; a son Lorry Bar; 3 brothers, George Logan and Alexander Evans and 3 sisters, Lula Morris, Mildred Vargo and Betty Findlay.

Carolyn is survived by a son, Dennis (Cynthia Potocki) Barr of Edgewater, FL.; a sister Wilma Potapshyn of MI; She is the grandmother of Denise, Maura (John) Wilkinson, Dan (Margot), Beth Williams, Lorrie (Dennis) Cordas and Michael. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren, a special friend, Susan Keats, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity, 251 E. Front St. on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM at which time Funeral Services will be held. Burial will be in St. John the Divine Cemetery.
