Carol Brooks

Carol L. Brooks, age 44, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes, on Friday, December 16, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Erie on October 28, 1972, a daughter of Edward G. and Gretchen Gerbracht Kruse of Fairview.

Carol graduated from Fairview High School in 1991. She attended and worked at the Barber National Institute Center in Girard.

She was a member of Fairview Bible Church. Carol loved her family and taking care and playing with her nieces and nephews and her great nieces and nephews. She enjoyed creating different types of meals for the family. Carol was a loving wife to Richard.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 15 years, Richard E. Brooks; a brother, Ed Kruse and his wife Sally of Fairview; two sisters, Betsy Dworek and her husband Chris of Mercer, PA and Terry Williams and her husband, Art of Fairview; brothers and sisters in laws: Cathy Hudacky and her husband Jim; Alice Goodwill and her husband Galen; Tom Brooks; all of Cranesville; Patty Drury and her husband Mike of Albion; and Mary McDonald and her husband Guy of Girard; She is further survived by 20 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm and are invited to a service on Tuesday at Church of the Cross, 5901 Millfair Road, Fairview at 11 am with Pastor Mike Bryant officiating.
