Carmella Vangeli

Carmella Theresa Agnello Vangeli, age 92, of Erie died on Tuesday November 11, 2014 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on October 27, 1922, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Josephine Giordano Agnello.

She was a member of St. George Roman Catholic Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to bake.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Vangeli, a son, William A. Vanjeli,a brother, Anthony Agnello , and two sisters; Ange Tomczak and Loretta Anderson.

Carmella is survived by two daughters, Margaret Nearhoof of Venice, Fl. and Carol Vangeli of Erie; two sons Michael Vangeli, and Vincent Vangeli both of Erie; and one sister, Theresa Chiccio, of Erie. She is further survived by nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, and Crematory Inc. 602 W. 10th St. Erie, Pa.16502 on Friday from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm till 9:00 pm and are invited to attend a prayer service at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:15 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Roman Catholic Church, 5145 Peach Street at 1:00 pm with Msgr. Robert L. Brugger officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
