Carl Cesnick

January 6, 1950 — September 11, 2022

Carl M. “Mike” Cesnick, 72, passed away the evening of September 11, 2022 with his loved ones by his side at Pleasant Ridge Manor. Born January 6, 1950 in Frostburg, Maryland.  He was an avid fisherman, golfer, hunter, and lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers.

He graduated from McDowell High School in 1968 where he was a record setting runner in track & cross country where he met his high school sweetheart Debbie. He attended Gannon University. He was employed at K Mart in their management program and worked there for 13 years. He then settled in Erie, PA and worked at Erie Times Publishing Company. He was the night shift supervisor in the mailroom for 30 years.

 He is preceded in death by his father Carl William Cesnick, brother-in-law James Johnson and his best friend cockapoo, Jake. He is lovingly remembered by his loving mother Thelma Cesnick, his devoted wife of 50 years Debbie Cesnick, his beloved daughter Melanie Graham (Jared) and his pride and joy granddaughter Mackenzie Cesnick.  Sisters (Belinda) Sue Kingsmore (Roy) and Melissa Thompson; as well as sister-in-law Josie Johnson.  Brothers to Mike: George Nicol, Roger Nicol (Sherry) and Bill Nicol; as well as Mike's childhood friends Dennis Messenger (Kris) and Robert Flack (Sue). He also cherished his niece Nicole Jones (Tim) who was like a daughter to him.

 He was godfather to Michael Kingsmore and Stefanie Kerr.

 He had many nieces and nephews, Michael Kingsmore(Heather), Jonathan Kingsmore, Matthew Kingsmore, Randy Nicol, Kimberly Johnson, Jennifer Gable (John) and Daniel Nicol (Lauren). 

 He had several great nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Lorelei Kingsmore, Isabella (Belle) Northrop, Melanie Northrop, Kylie Storms, Braelynn and Briella Jones, Connor Kingsmore, James Gable and Kai Johnson.

 He was loved by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and his dogs Winnie Sue and Mia.

He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Siebenbuerger Club, Sunflower Club and the NRA.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 17 from 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm at St James Lutheran Church 6851 Old Ridge Road, Fairview, PA 16415 with the Rev. Karen Thompson officiating.

 Arrangements have been entrusted to Burton, Quinn & Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Wintergreen.
