The world lost a shining star when Canyon Andrew McGarvey passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, due to a senseless crime. Born on December 26, 2003 in Erie, PA, to his loving parents, Kimberly (Charles) Insinger and Douglas (Beth) McGarvey.
Canyon was a graduate of Harborcreek High School and the Erie County Technical School. Canyon touched the lives of all who knew him with his warmth, passion, and boundless energy in chasing his dream.
Canyon dedicated his life to his friends and his love of music, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. His kind spirit, creativity, and unwavering loyalty will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is preceded in death by his best friend Noah King, Papa David McGarvey, grandparents Rosalie Aranyos and Richard Kemling.
Survived by his devoted parents; his love, Mariah Wakeley; his sisters, Tasha (Michael) Oaks, Kirra Grubbs, Alexandria (Aaron) Burdick, and his Nana (Liz McGarvey). Nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Arrangements will be made for a future celebration of his life and are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street. Fly high.
