Calvin Jackson

Calvin Jackson Jr. age 58, of Erie, passed away quietly at home on August 15, 2014. He was born in Erie, Pa. on May 5, 1956 a son of the late Calvin Jackson Sr. and Wileler Roberts. He was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School. Calvin served in the US Marines and returned to Erie where he attended Edinboro University receiving a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked as a House Manager and Supervisor for Gaudenzia, Erie, Inc. where his work also became his passion and ministry. He was a very talented artist and was an enthusiastic San Francisco 49er’s fan. Calvin was a member of the New Life and Spirit Revival Center.

In addition to his parents, and his wife Cheryl Robinson Jackson he was preceded in death by a sister, Willie Mae Roberts, this past July and by brothers; James West and Anderson Roberts.

Calvin is survived by three children, Christopher Jackson of Erie, Delvon Barnett (Shay) of Alabama and Courtney Ducksworth of Mississippi. He also leave 17 grandchildren along with two brothers; Walter Roberts and Charlie Roberts both of Erie and five sisters; Christine Cooley, Jeanette Roberts, Marlene Cochran, Patricia Sherrell all of Erie and Loretta Wright of Richmond, VA. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of other family and friends.

Friends may call at Newlife and Spirit Revival Center, 660 Hess Ave., Erie, Pa. 16503 on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of services there at 1:00 pm Pastor Curtis L. Jones officiating and Co- Pastor Vickie Jones Eulogizing. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
