Brenda Ann Van Luven Jungman of Fort Salonga, NY, age 84, died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her daughter's residence in Fort Salonga, NY. She was born on August 20, 1936 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the only child of Earl Russell Van Luven, Jr. and Martha Theodora (nee Carlson). She graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Erie, PA, class of 1954 and received her BFA from Syracuse University, class of 1958. Moving to Long Island, NY in 1960, she worked as a Jr. High and Elementary school art teacher until 1968. She was a former member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Erie.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Jungman on March 19, 2008.
She is survived by her children, Erika Jungman of Fort Salonga, NY, and Russell Jungman of Boise, Idaho, and her grandchildren, Sarah, Elisabeth, Aaron and Matthew, all of Boise, ID.
Friends may call at Burton Quinn-Scott Cremation and Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA, on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Noon. The Rev. William Coleman, of Luther Memorial Church, will officiate. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/BurtonQuinnScott/. Interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
