Brenda Kuntz Nikolishen took a glorious flight on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. The angels led her safely to her heavenly home.
She was born in Erie on April 22, 1957 a daughter of Sandra Kuntz Varescak of FL and the late Bernard Kuntz.
Brenda’s joys were her daily time and relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; her loving family, her babies (the puppies) Frisco and Cookie Jean, and of course, the birds. God’s creation brought her such joy.
She graduated from Fairview High School in 1975. Brenda worked at the family-owned medical supply business Erie Home Medical until it was sold. She also held various jobs in Erie, retiring from the Warren Company in 2008. Brenda’s most important job was bringing joy to everyone she met. She always used her God given talents to uplift people. Her smile and contagious laughter will be forever remembered. When she laughed everyone laughed.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents and her niece, Jillian.
Survivors include her husband Michael, they were together and married for 29 years; her mother and step father, Sandy and Joe Varescak of Florida, her son Adam Sornberger (Janet) of Mentor; daughter, Erin Sornberger; two grandchildren, Anthony and Camdyn, all of Mckeesport; three sisters: Kim (Denny) Reid of Lake City, Tracy (Michael) Covatto of Erie, and Julie (John) Miles of Florida. She is further survived by many sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephew and friends.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Sunday from 1-5 pm and are invited to a service there on Monday at 11 am with Rev. Clyde Davis officiating.
