Brenda Sue Gilger Horn, age 65 of Erie passed away peacefully Wednesday February 24, 2016.
She was born in Erie on October 5, 1950 to the late James Gilger and Alberta Gilger Cortes.
Brenda enjoyed crafts, coloring, watching the W.W.E. and was an avid fan of the Beatles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Horn; stepfather, Antonio Cortes; brother, David Cortes.
Brenda is survived by four sisters, Caryl Arce of North Carolina, Lana Maddox, Gloria Ortiz (Nino), Lisa Heil (Mark); brothers, James Gilger and Daniel Cortes all of Erie; step-sons, Robert and Mike Horn and Dale Treiber; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank hospice and the staff at Brookside, with a special thanks to Julie for the care given to Brenda.
Private funeral arrangements are under the care of the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Erie, PA 16502. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home. Please send condolences to www.scottfuneralhomeerie.com.
