Bonita Bigelow

Bonita Kaye Bigelow, 80, originally from Little Valley, NY, passed away early Friday morning, October 14, 2022 in Erie, PA, surrounded by her loving family.
Bonita was born on September 6, 1942 in Gowanda, NY to Charles and Dorothy Petersen. On November 12, 1958, Bonita married Gerald Bigelow. She previously served as Mayor for the Village of Little Valley, NY for several years and was employed at the Westinghouse Nuclear Power Plant in West Valley, NY until her retirement.
Bonita is survived by her daughter, Debra and son-in-law, Daniel Edgar, of Erie, PA, daughter-in-law, Wanda Bigelow, of Little Valley, NY; grandchildren, Chanelle (Charles) Taylor, of Little Valley, Chad (Stephanie) Bigelow, of Big Flats, NY, and Chandra (Michael) Beaver, of Monroe City Missouri; 9 great-grandchildren, and her grand dog, Nelly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Bigelow and son, Robert Bigelow.
At the family’s request, private arrangements are being handled by Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services.
