Blair Kershaw

Blair Elliott Kershaw, age 82, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Sunrise Senior Living.

He was born in Lowell, MA on June 28, 1934, a son of the late Raymond and Mary Kershaw.

Blair was a graduate of Greenville High School and Youngstown University and served active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. Blair was a salesman for Singer Corporation, IBM and Xerox Corporation, and later owned his own recruiting firm, Blair Kershaw Associates.

He was a long time member of the Rotary Club of Erie, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Erie, the Maennerchor Club, the Erie Yacht Club and the Erie Stamp Club. He was an avid stamp enthusiast and loved reading, particularly history books.

Blair is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Katharine “Kit” Kershaw; son Bryon Rawa; two sisters, Beverly Hilgert and Brenda Kershaw Stone; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Kline, Challis Wright and Mimi Sherwin.

According to Blair’s wishes, no services were held. Arrangements were handled by Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th Street. Condolences may be sent to Kit Kershaw at Sunrise Senior Living, 1012 W. Bayfront Parkway, Erie, PA 16507.
