Beverly Sugden

Beverly A. Stollatis Sugden, age 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 23, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born on October 28, 1948 in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late William and Margaret Rhodes Stollatis.

Beverly graduated from McDowell High School.  She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in education and attended Duquesne University receiving a dual Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist. Beverly was a teacher in the City of Erie for 25 years.

She enjoyed to dance, play golf, racquetball and traveling.  Beverly especially loved her children and grandchildren, as well as her dog, Max and cat, Louis.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 29 years, John; a son, Brennan (Denise) Lucas of Pittsburgh, daughters, Kara Lucas of Erie and Jamie (Rich) Lucas of Baltimore; three grandchildren, Alex, Cullen and Evan all of Erie; and a brother, Brian (Judy) Stollatis of McKean.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Homes and Crematory, 602 W.10^th St. Erie, PA 16502.
