Beverly Dillon

Beverly M. Dillon, age 86 of Erie, PA, died on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Manor East.

She was born in Erie on September 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles and Lorena “Lois” Palmer Strachen.

Beverly was the head laundry aid at Elmwood Presbyterian Lodge for many years. She was a friend to all who lived there, and fellow employees and the residents loved her.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and playing bingo and cards with her friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Dillon, Sr., a brother Charles Strachen; two sisters: Lois Murray and Holly Wakefield; her stepmother Laverna Strachen, and her stepbrother Fred Shank.

Survivors include sons: Charles W. Dillon and William F. Dillon (Debra) both of Erie; daughters: Grace A. Nickson (Terry) and Lorie J. Brookhouser (Frank) both of Erie; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.
