Betty Vogel

Betty L. Vogel, age 74, of Erie, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born in Erie on March 8, 1942 daughter of Blanche Stackhouse Bowers of Oil City, Pa and the late Lester Bowers.

She was a 1960 graduate of Academy High School.

She was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She enjoyed reading mystery books and playing cards.

She worked at K-Mart as a cashier for 17 1/2 years.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard G. Vogel, a brother Larry Bowers an infant brother, a nephew, and an uncle along with several aunts.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Bryan Vogel and his wife Cathy of Erie, a daughter, Brenda Davis and her husband Eric Davis of Greensburg, PA along with six grandchildren, Scot, Eric, Nathan, Bryce Vogel all of Erie, Laural and Brynne Davis of Greensburg, Pa. Further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road, Erie, PA 16510 on Sunday from 2:00 pm until the time of services there at 4:00 pm.
