Betty Stearns

Betty A. Stearns, age 64, of Girard, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence.

She was born in McKeesport, on June 6, 1950, a daughter of the late George Danesky and Twila Richardson Philson.

After graduation from high school, she entered the U.S Air Force. She was a secretary, a nurse, was most recently a foster Grandparent. She enjoyed visiting her family, friends, and going to church. Betty was also a talented singer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death an infant daughter, Tara Allgeier and son, William A. Stearns Jr.

Betty is survived by her daughter Tamie Neiger and her husband Roger; grandchildren: Richard and Nathaniel Neiger; six brothers: George Danesky and his wife Guelda, John, Charles, Terry, Robert and Micheal Danesky, and two sisters: Kandy Zarlingo and Carla Weatherby; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Bethel Assembly of God, 1414 Lake St. in Girard on Sunday at 10:30 am with Reverend Marty Critchfield officiating.
