Betty Perkins

Betty Lou Perkins, 83, of Erie, died November 9, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital.

Born on May 25, 1939 in Decota, WV, daughter of her beloved parents Eva and Bill Miller of Indian Head, MD, who are both in Arlington National Cemetery.

She was a retired U.S. Army Medic and was a member of the American Legion. She was a volunteer at Presque Isle State Park and gave Pontoon Boat tours. She was a sub in the food service area in the Millcreek School District. Betty served as Fire Police at the West Ridge Fire Department for 9 years and was a member of their Auxiliary, and was also a member of West Lake Fire Dept. Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by her adopted family and good friends; Pat & Charlie Heffner and their children Susan, Megan and Lisa.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services West Ridge, 3801 West 26th Street, on Monday November 14 from 3-6pm and are invited to attend a service at the funeral home on Tuesday November 15th at 10am.

Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Anna Shelter, 1555 E. 10th St, Erie, PA 16511.
