Betty Paul

Betty Ann (Barnes) Paul, age 85, of Erie, PA passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 after a lengthy illness.  Born in Wheeling, WV on January 31, 1933, Betty was the daughter of the late Clarence and Annie (Scales) Barnes.

Betty graduated Academy High School in 1951, married in 1952 and later had and reared seven children.  While she was a natural mother to only seven, she was considered a mother to many, as she was so often consulted for her advice and wisdom which she so lovingly gave.  She worked at the John F. Kennedy Center, Inc. and the Erie County Geriatric Center where she retired circa 1993.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.  Among other areas of interest, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Christian television and cooking.  Most importantly, she knew the Lord Jesus Christ, having accepted Him in her life at an early age.  She was a member of Family Worship Center of Erie, where she had attended for many years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Joe Paul and daughter, Keslyn Joyce Paul.

Betty is survived by three daughters,  Karla J. Odiambo (Patrick) of Alexandria, LA, Katrina J. Jones (Michael) of Youngstown, Ohio, and Keelia J. Paul of Erie, PA; three sons;  Jeffrey S. Paul (Cafrena) of Dallas, TX, Kenneth J. Paul, Jr. (David P. Gulley) of Indianapolis, IN and Kevin J. Paul (Denise) of Trophy Club, TX.  Along with her sister-in-law, Kennetha Beason of Erie, Betty is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call on the family at the Family Worship Center, 1201 Parade Street, Erie, PA on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are handled by the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W. 10^th St., Erie.
