Betty May

Betty Lou (Perry) May, 82, passed away at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Fairview, PA on October 11, 2022.  Formerly of Corry, PA and lived in Lakeland, FL for the past 25 years in her retirement.

Betty Lou was born in Corry, PA on March 24, 1940 to the late Charles and Lillian Perry.  Betty also was raised by her Grandparents Thomas and Mabel (Sherlock) Higley on their Farm in Spartansburg, PA.    

In her younger years, she had a great desire for riding horses, listening to country honky tonk music and putting the top down on the convertible to go for a ride.   

She also loved to cook and share with anyone who she could cook for with her Famous Stuffed Peppers, Stuffed Cabbage and Barbeque Spare Rib Dinners.  She had a kind way about her that always welcomed people into her home for a cup of coffee and something to eat.

Betty Lou is survived by her five children, Frank Fox Jr. of Corry, PA; Charles Fox of Tampa, FL; Susan DeSantis of Palmetto, FL; Sherry Stidham of Erie, PA; and Kimberly Foley of Lake City, PA. 

She will be sadly missed and will always be remembered by her family. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26^th Street.

Private Services will be held for the family.  Mrs. May will be interred at Rosehill Cemetery in Spartansburg, PA with her family, at rest, at a late date.
