Betty Jane Keep Momeyer

Betty Jane Keep Momeyer, age 91, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge.

She was born in Erie on December 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Arthur Keep and Pearl Keep Holiday.

Betty was a Class of 1942 graduate from Academy High School. She enjoyed spending time in Florida with her husband in the winter. She also loved painting, gardening and traveling. One of her favorite trips was a cruise of the Caribbean Islands in the mid 80’s with her husband.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her granddaughter, Katie Irvine on March 4th, 2004.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Frederick G. Momeyer; three children, Michael (Valerie Weaver) Momeyer of Erie, Stephen (Kimberly) Momeyer of Athens, GA and Laurie A. (Richard) Irvine of Albion, PA; three grandchildren, Kristopher Momeyer of Lexington, Kentucky, Jamie Momeyer of Athens, GA and Adam Irvine of Albion, PA. Betty is further survived by five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue,) on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a service there on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
