Betty Jean Henderson

Betty Jean Henderson, 76, of Albion, passed away peacefully Friday, April 4th, 2025, at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Erie on May 25, 1948, a daughter of the late Eugene Markham and Clara (Miller) Fleming.

Betty graduated from Northwestern High School. She worked at various places over the years, ultimately retiring from PHB as a supervisor. Raising her family, and well into their adult years, Betty ran a tight ship in the household. She loved camping and spending time with her camp family. She enjoyed surfing the internet, country and rock music, birdwatching, and in her earlier years, fishing and gardening. Betty was a member of the Moose Club of Albion for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Markham.

Betty is survived by her husband, David Henderson; her children, Lisa Delaney (Joseph), Mark Wintemute (Melissa), and Robert Wintemute; stepson, David Charles Henderson; brother, Larry Markham; sisters, Phyllis Harmon (Larry) and Barbara Goss; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
