Betty June (Schreiber) Grabowski Green, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Erie, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at home. She was born May 9, 1935, daughter of the late George and Junia Mae Schreiber. She was a graduate of McDowell High School and a resident of Erie until 2002, when she and her husband moved to the warm sands and sunny beaches of Bradenton, Florida. While a resident of Bradenton, Betty was a volunteer at the Tingley Memorial Library, and an active member of the Red Hat Society. She belonged to several social clubs, and was a proud fan of her husband's entertainment business. She loved the beach, reading, dancing, and shopping with her daughters. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, warm smile, and loving heart.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Cal Green, two daughters, Leslie Grabowski Wallen and her husband Christopher, of Erie; Elizabeth Grabowski Fenske and her husband Michael of Rapid City, S.D.; three sons, John Grabowski and his wife Christine of Erie; Mark Grabowski and his wife Lisa of Erie; and David Grabowski and his wife Mary of Newburyport, MA; two step-daughters Karen Green Vafias and her husband Steve of Carlisle, PA; Kelly Green Ryan and her husband Terry of West Chester, PA; eight grandchildren, Amy Grabowski Baker and her husband Scott of North East; Brett Wallen and his fiancé Rachel Pasternak of Philadelphia; Tyler Wallen and his fiancé Victoria Kimball of Philadelphia; Alyssa and Kaitlyn Grabowski of Erie; D.J. and Jeremy Grabowski of Newburyport, MA; Daniel Grabowski of Erie; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Bree Ann Baker of North East, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her three brothers, Harry, Charles and Robert Schreiber.
Cremation and a Memorial Service were held in Bradenton, Florida in April.
Friends will be welcomed at Saint George Church, 5145 Peach Street, on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 10:30 am until the time of a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.
