Betty Andrews

Betty J. Andrews age 92, of Girard died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Fairview Manor Nursing Homes.

She was born in Erie, PA on February 21st, 1921 the daughter of the late Daisy and Roy Starks.

Betty grew up in Lawrence Park and was a graduate of Lawrence Park High School, Class of 1939.

Betty worked as a supervisor at Lord Manufacturing and did independent house cleaning and childcare. She was very active with the American Legion #773.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Andrews, her brother Raymond Starks and her sister Elaine Pratt.

She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Wise and husband Gerald of Girard; her sister Dolores Flanigan of Erie and two grandsons, Joshua and J.P Wise, both of Girard. Betty is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street at Powell Avenue, on Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and are invited to a service there on Thursday at 10am with the Reverend Ed Huntley officiating.

Burial will be Laurel Hill Cemetery.
