Beatrice Barron

Beatrice L. “Peaches” Barron, age 92, of Erie and formerly of Fairview, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Center surrounded by her family.

She was born in Girard, on June 17, 1921, the daughter of late Henry and Helen Garries Dushole.

Mrs. Barron attended Fairview High School and graduated from McKean High School. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, a Past Noble Grand of Priscilla Rebekah Lodge, and a member of Fern Rebekah Lodge. She was also a member of the Fairview Firemen’s Auxiliary, the Fairview Community Council, the Erie “Moms Twins Club”, and a lifetime member and past president of the Fairview P.T.A.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Barron and her step-father, Earl Brydle, a sister Donna Hirz, a brother Elwin Dushole, grandson Tristan Lucas, and a great grandson Rocky Deitz.

She is survived by her two sons: Gary (Barb) Barron, of Girard, and Kent (Barb) Barron, of Lake City; four daughters: Mrs. Malcomb (Karen) Traut, of Fairview, Mrs. Paul (Beth) Bruschi and Merridea Barron, both of Erie, and Rhonda Lucas, of Conneautville, PA; a sister, Carol (Mahlon) McCoy, of Harrisburg, PA; a sister in law Marabell Port of NC.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East Girard, on Sunday from 1 to 5pm. and are invited to attend a service there Monday at 10am. with Rev. John Gerber officiating.
