Barbara A. Schreiber

Barbara “Billie” Dahlkemper Schreiber age 90, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Sarah Reed Senior Living. 

She was born in Summit Township on December 3rd, 1934, daughter to the late Leo and Barbara Waldinger Dahlkemper.

She is a member of St. Julia’s Church and was a member of Presque Isle Square Dancers and a member of West Lake Auxiliary. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening and her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Schreiber; two brothers, Cyril (Viola) and Paul (Norma Jean) Dahlkemper.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Custer and John Custer and his wife Ann, all of Erie; and two daughters, Joan Segel and her husband Elliot of Northeast and Mary Nace and her husband Thomas of High Falls, NY. She is further survived by six grandchildren, Joshua and Alyssa Segel, Robert (Tessia) Custer and Mark (Kristina) Custer, Jonathan and Kirsten Nace; and 2 great-grandchildren, Alexis and Asher Custer. 

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street on Tuesday, February 11th from 3 to 7 p.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julia Church 638 Roslyn Ave, Erie, PA 16505 on Wednesday, February 12th at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
