Barbara Schick

Barbara J. Wise Schick, age 61, of Millcreek, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at her residence, following a two year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband and children.

She was born in Erie on October 24, 1955 a daughter of the late Homer Wise and Shirley Carlson Running.

Barbara was a devoted homemaker. She loved cooking, baking, shopping and bargain hunting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren; especially at family picnics and get togethers. She loved Roar on the Shore; riding on the back of her husband’s bike and throwing candy to the kids along the parade route. She also very much enjoyed motorcycle rides to Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Schick; step father, Gerald Running; and a sister, Carol Biletnikoff.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, D. Scott Schick; four children, Michelle Weyand (Timothy), Carrie Schick (Chris Maison), Traci Belknap (Denny) and Michael Schick (Destiny); three grandchildren, David, Savannah, and Fiona. She is further survived by a brother, Alan Wise(Beverly); a sister, Nancy Dill (William); her mother-in-law Betty Schick and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
