Barbara Hassler

Barbara Charlene Hassler, age 94, of Erie, died Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Sarah Reed Senior Living. She was born on March 29, 1926 in Grove City, PA the daughter of the late Charles R. and Bertha Adams Hovis. 

She attended Grove City Public schools and Grove City College.  Charlene worked in the office at the Boston Store prior to the birth of her daughters.  She was also a member of the Elmwood Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Hassler, a daughter, Barbara Sealy, a grandson; Ryan Sealy, and a sister and brother in law, Dorothy and Jacob McCurdy.

Survivors include; her daughter; Nancy L. Hassler of Erie; a son in law, Gary Sealy, grandchildren, Megan Kamau, Brianna Walrath, Lucas and Allison Sealy. She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Serena Kamau, Vivienne Walrath, Parker, Addie, and Porter Sealy, and a niece Evelyn Reese (John).  

The family would like to thank Everyone at Sarah Reed for all of their care, support, friendship, and love all these years, you are true heroes.

Friends are invited to call on the family at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th St,, Friday, March 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon, with Rev. Richard Moyer presiding.
