Barbara Euell

Evangelist Barbara Jean Euell age 71 of Erie, passed away quietly surrounded by family on February 10, 2017 at Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born in Shaw, Mississippi on July 31, 1945 a daughter of the late Daniel and Odessa Womble Meredith. Barbara was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School and also received a degree in Sociology from Edinboro University in 2005. She worked in the chemistry department at Edinboro University for many years. During her life Barbara served the Lord as a district missionary with Erie District Churches of God in Christ and was the Church Mother of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ which she helped found in 1989. She loved singing, sewing and shopping but her greatest joy was her family who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Meredith. In addition to her husband Elder Harry Lee Euell Sr. whom she married in 1975, she is survived by four children; Andrew David Euell, Pastor Harry Lee Euell Jr. (Shatia), Angela McNair (Andrew) and Mary Elizabeth Euell all of Erie. Barbara also leaves 11 grandchildren; DeJauna, Demari, Davion, Elijah, Angelina, Julius, Andrew, Makyah, Makayla, Mario and Michael. Her great grandson MiJaun also remains along with seven siblings; James Allen Meredith (Doris) of Chicago, IL., Steve Meredith (Rose) of LaPasas, TX, Larry Meredith (Eva) of Erie, Gerald Meredith (Mamie) also of Erie, Carol Troop of Erie, Sharon Meredith and Anita Meredith both of Atlanta, GA.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Firstborn Apostolic Church of God, 1221 East 19th St. Erie, PA 16503 and are invited to attend services there on Wednesday at 12:00 noon with Pastor Clint Roberts officiating and Elder Harry Lee Euell Jr. bringing the eulogy. Burial at Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502.
