Barbara Conn

Barbara Stella Conn, age 87 of Erie, passed away Thursday January 19, 2017 at Millcreek Community Hospital. She was born Erie on April 10, 1929, a daughter of the late Francisco and Clara Snow Martinez.

Barbara attended Academy High School and worked at St. Vincent Hospital for more than 16 years. She had been a longtime member of St. Joseph Bread of Life Catholic Church, was a proud member of the Seneca Nation, and more than anything in life was a loving mother and grandmother who completely devoted her life to all her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas James Conn in 2001; her sisters Betty, Theresa, and Virginia, as well as her brothers Frank, Donald, John, Ronald, and her sister-in-law Margaret.

Survivors include her children Thomas Conn, Jr. (Karen), Barbara Thumm, Debra Yoculan, Walter Conn, Mary Ann Hutchison (Carl), 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She is further survived by three siblings, Mary Zingle, Philip Martinez (Dorothy) and Marge Litz.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 2532 Norcross Road Erie, PA 16510 on Sunday January 22nd from 4 pm to 7 pm, and attend a funeral service on Monday, January 23rd at 11:00 am at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
