Barbara Ann Black, age 98, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Springhill Senior Living Center.
She was born in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky on April 24, 1921, a daughter of the late Alvin J. and Ila Knight Inglis, of Dawson Springs, Kentucky. Ann graduated from Dawson High School in 1942.
She enjoyed hiking and camping with her husband while traveling in all 50 states, and residing at the Chautauqua Institution in the summer.
Ann was a member of Crossroads Community Baptist Church and the PEO Sisterhood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Inglis; sister, Edna Marie Worsham; and husband of 65 years, Dr. Kenneth Black, in 2010.
Ann is survived by her niece, Mary Lou Hatcher Davis, of Mississippi, great nieces, Jamie Marie Hatcher, in Sweden, Corrie Anne Scott, in Georgia, and great-great nephew and niece, Paxton and Emerson Scott.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th St., Erie on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m., with Rev. David and Katie White officiating.
Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery following services.
