B. Christel Caldwell

B. Christel Kuster Caldwell, age 86, of Millcreek, passed away Saturday January 7, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born in Danzig, Germany on April 9, 1930 the daughter of Eugene and Emmy Thomas Kuster. She was raised in Berlin, Germany where she was employed as a hospital dietician for many years.

She attended St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and Lakewood United Methodist Church. She loved dogs and was a member of several local German affiliated Clubs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Karl E. Caldwell and stepson Roy E. Caldwell.

She is survived by her companion George Stefanovski; a stepdaughter Judy Caldwell Edwards and her husband Daniel, of Lafayette, Ind.; a stepson Blake D. Caldwell and his wife Jo, of Laurinburg, N.C. and Peggy Sorenson Caldwell (wife of Roy E. Caldwell) of Dallas, TX ; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may attend a funeral service on Wednesday at 10am at the Lakewood United Methodist Church 3856 West 10th St., Erie, PA 16505 with Reverend Robert Lewis officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie, PA 16506.

Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
