Autumn Mcalister

Autumn Johnson McAlister, 77, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at her home in Erie surrounded by her loving family following a courageous fifteen year battle with COPD.  She was born October 25, 1937, in Erie, daughter of the late Melvin and Elizabeth Hart Johnson.  She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1956.  Mrs. McAlister was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church where she was active with their Double Nickels Group, was a member of Gridley Chapter No. 324 Order of Eastern Star and Buick Car Club, served as a Girl Scout Leader and Boy Scout Leader, and volunteered with various other organizations.  She and her husband spent Septembers in Cape Cod for many years.  
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 57 years, Frederick T. McAlister on August 25, 2014, and a son, Sean McAlister.
     Survivors include three daughters, Peg Lundstrom and husband Marty and Leora Kramer and husband George, all of Erie, and Jennifer Kader and husband Charles of Massena, NY; four grandchildren, Axel Lundstrom and wife Marissa of Elmsford, NY, Autumn Lundstrom and fiancé Keith Elders of Johnstown, PA, and Melissa and Amanda Lucente both of Pittsburgh, PA; two great-grandchildren, Quinn Rose Elders of Johnstown, PA and Harry Axel Lundstrom of Elmsford, NY; daughter-in-law, Hilary McAlister of Erie; nephew, Steve McAlister and wife Jean of Fowler, OH; and her dear close family friend, Betty Deniziak and husband Ray of Erie.
     Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle Street.  A service will be held there Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kristen Papson of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church officiating.  Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to The ANNA Shelter, 1555 E. 10th St., Erie, PA  16511.
