Audley Hanold

September 30, 1929 — December 10, 2013

Audley W. "Punk" Hanold, 84, of Erie and formerly of Wildwood, FL and Tionesta, PA, died Tues., Dec. 10, 2013 at St. Vincent Health Center.  He was born Sept. 30, 1929 in Franklin, PA, son of the late Arthur R. and Myrna E. Foy Hanold.  A graduate of Farmington High School, Leeper, PA, Mr. Hanold studied airplane maintenance at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.  He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served as a Corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps and was a truck driver for Leaseway Transportation for 35 years retiring in 1992.  He attended Glenwood United Methodist Church and was a former member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Tionesta.  He was a member of Oil City Lodge No. 78 Loyal Order of Moose, VFW, American Legion Post 66 Clarion, PA, and the Korean War Veterans Association; and was an avid golfer and an airplane enthusiast.
 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald E. Hanold Dec. 2, 2013.
 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Peggy A. Seigworth Hanold; two daughters, Kathy Hanold Seblink of Erie and Kelly Hanold McCarty of Grand Junction, CO; two grandchildren, Chad B. Seblink and fiancé Kelly Koper of Waterford and Cortni Seblink Smith and husband Brandon of Westfield, NY; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Cade Smith of Westfield, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
 

The family will receive friends at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of a memorial service there at 4 p.m.  The Rev. J. Patrick Lenox of Glenwood United Methodist Church will officiate.  Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens., Cranberry, PA.  Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
