Arnold P. Moore, age 67, of Girard, passed away, Tuesday May 24, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Wharton, West Virginia on March 11, 1949, a son, of Avis Green Moore Leopold and the late Arnold E. “Smoky” Moore.
He graduated from Van High School and served in the Air Force. Arnie worked as a journeyman/mechanic for Townsquare/Maple Donuts. He also worked at Pleasant Ridge Manor West and was a member of the Girard American Legion.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, April Boothe Moore in 2014; a grandson, Kory Perry and a sister in law, Shana Boothe.
Arnie is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Perry, Krista Gariepy and her husband, Ken and Kellie Gariepy and her companion, Brian Mullaley, all of Girard; and Becky Moore Willert of McKean; his son, Paul Moore and his wife Donya of Lake City; three siblings, Pam McNeely and her husband, Steve of Melbourne, FL, Debora Forsyth and her husband John of Jessup, GA and James Moore and his wife, Theresa of Columbus, PA. Arnie is also survived by Gilda and Terry Willert of McKean, PA.; and is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his “buddy”, Lucky.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard on Saturday from 2pm until the time of the service at 4 pm. with Reverend Gale Thornton officiating. Full military honors will be observed following the service.
