Arlene Gaerttner

Arlene Elizabeth Beck Gaerttner, age 95, of Erie died on Saturday February 14, 2015 at Independence Court. She was born on January 4, 1920 in Erie, PA to the late Hartle and Olga Schultz Beck. Arlene was employed at General Electric as an assembler until retirement in 1984 and was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. She was also a longtime member of the Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading mystery novels. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Norita Greene; a brother, Howard Beck. She is survived by her grandchildren, Dina Greene of Erie, Steven Greene of Erie, and Andrew Greene (Valerie Kane) of North East; great-grandchild, Nicole; great-great grandchildren, Zachary and Madison; and a special cat, Gabby. Friends may call the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., Erie, PA on Thursday at 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Officiating the Rev. Andrew Holmes.
