Arlene Figueira

Arlene K. Figueira, age 91, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 a St. Mary's East.

She was born in Moscow, PA October 20, 1921, daughter of the late Cora Wehr Kolb and George Kolb.

Arlene attended Moscow High School and had been employed at American Sterilizer and Wydee Dydee.

She was a member of Elmwood Presbyterian Church. Arlene enjoyed reading, gardening and shopping.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Figueira, two brothers David and Frederick Kolb and a sister Alice Jones.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Figueira and Denise Figueira Johnston and her friend, Jay Kessler, all of Erie; two grandchildren, Daniel Johnston of Pittsburgh and Suzanne Johnston of East Lansing, MI and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and are invited to services there on Thursday at 11:00 am with Reverend Andrew Holmes officiating.

Inurnment will follow in Whispering Pines Cremation Garden, 4940 Koehler Road.

Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
